I hadn't noticed until tonight (as I mostly watch HD content via VDPAU), but some of the later revisions aren't playing SD content properly for me. While the audio is fine, the video is playing extremely slowly. Looking at my log (http://pastebin.ca/1425127), I see a number of discontinuity errors.

I'm not sure which revision this happened with, but I can say that it's somewhere between 20100 (currently using this - no ill effects) and 20292 (exhibits symptoms described above). Haven't had a chance to narrow it down any further just yet.

As I suspected, this seems to stem from the smoothvideo merge into linuxport. Also, further testing reveals that it's not limited to SD content, but is present in some 1080p content as well. It doesn't matter if I select VDPAU, software or another decoder, nor does toggling on/off auto refresh rate or av/sync. Also, the type of a/v sync has no effect. Am I the only one seeing this?

Note: This is still happening as of r20463.

please use mediainfo to qualify which video content is having problems, there's just too many formats to even start guessing.

According to mediainfo, The Spirit is an AVC (wrapped in a .mkv) @23.976fps.

I'm also having trouble with xvids at the same fps.

Am I the only one experiencing this? Any other 8200 igp users care to comment? I'm considering a complete reinstall in the case that my settings are somehow to blame, but as a last resort. If other users are seeing this, I won't bother reinstalling, as it would suggest it's not unique to my setup.

Check if changesets 20198 and 20202 have anything to do with it.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I went ahead and reinstalled from scratch to see if that was the problem - it wasn't.

Your suspicion turned out to be correct. Changeset 20202 is the culprit (20201 is fine). Just for kicks, I also tried the latest version (as of this writing), 20553. Same behaviour as 20202+.

Should I submit a ticket, or do you know what I need to do to fix this?

Go ahead and put it on trac, I don't know what the issue is but I have a suspicion.
