Apple remote not working in Mac mini

The problem I'm having is that the apple remote I have is not operating any actions in the xbmc. I've checked allways on checkbox in the apple remote screen and the status is standard. The apple remote is working, this I know because it operates other things in my macbook.

OSX Version 10.5.6
Platform Mac Mini
Install Method dmg
SVN Revision rt470

What can I do?

You say your apple remote is working with your macbook.
Is it working with your mac mini? Have you tried with Front Row?
Haven't you been pairing your mac mini with another remote?

Hi, I'm not sure why but the remote suddenly works for me, although I'm having other difficulties suddenly...
I didn't pair my remote with my mac mini as I had PLEX installed before I switched to XBMC and the remote worked fine with it so I knew that wasn't the problem. But thank you very much anyway...
