Ubuntu Jaunty and XBMC NOT STARTING

1. I installed XBMC yesterday the installed version is 9.04~beta1~jaunty1
2. I'm using the jaunty jackalope ubuntu released in April gnome is version 2.26.1
3. Using 64 bit
4. Installed using synaptic package manager
6. Open XBMC from gnome and flashes black screen then fails to load

Worked it out by letting ubuntu install some better graphics drivers.

Are you sure that you did not started XBMC as different user, than the one logged in? Like 'root'
