Protect xbmc from cloning

Dear Topfs2,

Just would like to check is there anyway to secure the xbmc from clone from one machine to another machine.

For example i dun want anyone clone my machine to another machine n start to use the xbmc.

so what i would like to ask is..can i set any script or program that before start the xbmc it should check the some license key id which match with the mac address.if its match then continue if its not match then shutdown the machine or prompt for error.

do u have any sample python script for do this.

Why would anyone want to clone your machine? Moreover, why would you care if they copied XBMC? It's open source and free to anyone who wants to use it. I think a majority of the team would be very much against any licensing mechanisms being added and any "python script" would be easily circumvented by anyone with half a brain.
