Hi everybody,

installed on my HTPC XBMC 9.04 (Babylon) Beta 1. When starting it up, it hangs (in full-screen mode). However, when starting it in the windowed version, this works fine.

It hangs whatever skin is selected.

My environment:
XBMC 9.04 (Babylon) Beta 1
Vista SP1
CPU AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+
3 GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD3200, Driver Version 9.4, 1280x720 1280x720 @ 60.00Hz, connected via HDMI
Skin Project Mayhem III

Log-file:

Thx,
inomis

So, out of curiosity, if you start in windowed mode, then, after a few minutes, switch to full screen mode, does it still hang?

Please delete your user data completely (especially the profile.xml). The logfile looks a little weird.

When starting it in the windowed version (which runs fine) and then restart in full screen mode, again it hangs. Just one question - how do I change from windowed mode to full screen mode without restarting? Did not find anything on this.

Please delete your user data completely (especially the profile.xml). The logfile looks a little weird.

I did this - does actually change nothing. Removed then the whole installation and deleted the whole user data. Again, did not change much. Maybe it still helps to improve the log file. The new one has been attached.

Just noticed that the Babylon RC1 is available. So installed it - and suddenly also full screen mode works as it should be. Only thing that does not work yet are visualizations, but can do without for the moment.

it seems to me that you somehow didn't delete everything. You're running in default mode were all data is stored in %appdata/xbmc but XBMC tries to create the plugin folders in the XBMC installation directory:

#
10:13:35 T:5692 M:2676535296 ERROR: DIRECTORY::CDirectory::Create - Error creating special://xbmc/scripts
#
10:13:35 T:5692 M:2676535296 ERROR: DIRECTORY::CDirectory::Create - Error creating C:\Program Files\XBMC\plugins

Make sure that you have deleted the installation AND the %appdata/xbmc directory.
