"TV Guide" functionality in xbmc - How?

I want xbmc self contained to have TV GUIDE functionality as well! I now use GBPVR for TV and for rest I use XBMC. I however would like to make XBMC my central portal and want the TV GUIDE functionality (GUIDE, WATCH RECORD et all). Has anybody tried this successfully? Are there any guides?

AFAIK, there is no such functionality at the current juncture. However, a script that pulls data down from tvguide.com or something probably wouldn't be that difficult to put together...

Actually, there is a whole branch dedicated to it. But I guess you would have to be able to compile since I am not aware of any binaries in the wild for it.
