I'm running xbmc live 8.10.

The problem is like this: When trying to access a harddrive in my network some of the folders needs a "lock setting" username and password. The thing is, that the lock settings is not enabled.

Other folders on the same harddrive works. I have checked my settings on the folders that I have problem with, and everthing is ok.

Do you mean you are getting something like, /var/1234/ locked blah blah blah, you need to be in root mode to access some files on the system and issuing a sudo command will not do it, if you are referring to your network drives then yes you have a permission issue.

To better help you fix the problem, you should give us error examples .

I'm not getting any network issues. The files can fine access from other computers. And the funny thing is that sometimes when I have rebooted xbmc I can access the same folder i was denied earlier.

To make it a bit more clear, it's when I'm browsing my shared folders out of library mode. So when I'm click on that folder I get a message that I need to set a user name and password, and that is without my lock settings enabled! And I cannot access that folder. If I reboot, I suddenly get access.
