Hi guys and girls,

I'm trying the live cd and for some reason my mce remote does not seem to be working.
When doing a tail of /var/log/messages I get:
Apr 26 11:14:53 XBMCLive kernel: [ 808.005288] lirc_mceusb2[5]: usb remote disconnected
Apr 26 11:15:00 XBMCLive kernel: [ 815.483317] usb 3-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 6
Apr 26 11:15:00 XBMCLive kernel: [ 815.653190] usb 3-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Apr 26 11:15:01 XBMCLive kernel: [ 815.767082] usb 3-2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 6
Apr 26 11:15:01 XBMCLive kernel: [ 815.917718] lirc_dev: lirc_register_plugin: sample_rate: 0
Apr 26 11:15:01 XBMCLive kernel: [ 815.921617] lirc_mceusb2[6]: Philips eHome Infrared Transceiver on usb3:6

So that seems fine, but when pressing a button on the remote nothing happens.

Any clues?

Just downloaded the new release and it still does not work.
Is there really no one that has a clue?

Seems a bit weird to me as this remote is supposed to be supported but doesn't even work when using the live cd (i.e. a completely default setup)

Yer mine didn't work the first time. I was scratching my head. I ended up just uplugging it, and pluged it back in and reboot. Then Presto it was working...!

lol not sure if this will help as I'm sure you have tried this since your new install?

I'm using the live cd, so there is no install. That also kind of makes rebooting useless, as the changes will be gone.

Out of desperation I just installed the live environment to a CF card and unplugged/replugged, rebooted but still nu result.

Come on guys, I thought xbmc had a great comunity.

I am not asking for magic here, I'm asking for help getting something to work that was supposed to work out of the box anyway.

Found it myself.
The lirc_imon module was ruining things, I blacklisted that and now it works.

Hmmm, I wonder if this means my lcd wont work now.
