I'm using XBMC for a while on my Mac Mini (OS X version) and just curious is it can give me some more performance using the Linux version instead of OS X. But I couldn't load from the XBMC Live CD.

Does anyone have any experience in this?

Hey, good question. Is there an "alpha/beta" live cd with VDPAU that could work on the new minis?

So, I've just tried to run latest XBMC live cd (babylon beta 1 9.04 - with VDPAU) on the new Mini. If I try to start in normal Nvidia mode, it freezes while booting with the XBMC logo. If I go for the safe mode with Nvidia, I get:

Loading... please wait
run-init: /sbin/init: No such file or directory

Any ideas? :)

Answering my own thread, according to XBMC team this is a bug which will be fixed :)
