7. FULL Debug Log (Please use your favorite paste site! See below.) << NOT OPTIONAL!
-
Where is my debug log?
This depends on your install method.

1. Normally, ~/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log
2. If you're using portable mode, ${PWD}/xbmc.log

I'm having this same problem. Everything else I've tried so far seems to work, but if I try to access the audio settings while playing a video (where you'd change subtitles, etc.) XBMC crashes. Tried using a different skin (default skin as well), since I was using a third-party one and had some problems before because of it, but no change. Will keep an eye on this thread.

It'll be impossible to debug reliably without a backtrace of the crash.

^I'll try and get this tonight if I remember. This is really an irritating bug since I can't change subtitles from subs to srts. Subs don't work well, and in some cases I have alternative srts, but I can't use them.

Hi there I'm experiencing a very similar issue.

Please let me know if there is anything further that is needed. I have kept the original core dump as well if required.

ISSUE
Problem: Play movie, select menu (m) then select sound options and XBMC crashes. OR Play movie, use the (o) key to bring up the on-screen statistics and XBMC crashes.

Same issue for me. I also have a problem where sometimes when one video finishes playing and then I try to watch another, the next one will have no sound. I have to exit xbmc and restart it to get sound working again.

Asus p5n7a-vm motherboard, intel e5200 cpu, 2 gig ram, onboard sound
Ubuntu 9.04, 64-bit
Using the xbmc version xbmc - 9.04~beta1-jaunty1 from https://launchpad.net/~team-xbmc/+archive/jaunty-ppa

Yes this looks like a similar problem.

If I'm interpreting the ticket correctly this should be fixed in a more recent XBMC SVN correct?

Yep, got this problem too. Fortunately, something seems to in the works on trac at the moment, hopefully they will resolve it soon.

It's a bit unfortunate that no devs are running 64bit at the moment. After all it is the future! (even if 64bit is not really needed for a dedicated HTPC, I run XBMC on my normal day to day PC :( )
