View Full Version : Newest xbmc build and VNC network
All the previous builds that ive used have been controllable via VNC , however the latest build is unresponsive over the vnc
Any ideas what might have caused this?
Edit: And I can't just use the older builds because imdb doesnt scrape with them anymore :o

It worked well on the previous build I was using (8.10)
I used my laptop to control my htpc, but now its not working - plus im having a lot of issues with the latest beta build (reverts to default skin, wont set content & scrape etc...)
I'm really hoping theres a fix for 8.10 as it worked perfectly prior to not scraping from imdb

Two things.
First, when you say you were controlling it over VNC, do you mean you watched it on one screen, but controlled it from a separate computer?
Second, I'm gonna guess you are having an issue with the default vs portable thing in the latest beta build.
Make sure, when installing, to choose the "default" install. Then right click the link you are using to open XBMC and make sure to delete the '-p' switch.
That should resolve most issues, I'm guessing.
