Hello being relatively new here I have a hopefully quick question, I downloaded the latest XBMC_for_Mac_ppc-Babylon-Beta1.dmg build.
How can I hook into my iTunes library and iPhoto 09 Library?
Sorry but after an hour of trawling the web and forums I'm not getting any further.

Hi there, and welcome!
iTunes is easy. Add a new source and point it at where your iTunes music library is located (the files). If it's on a different computer, then you'll have to share that folder using smb (aka windows file sharing) and point XBMC at that folder.
Once done, you can browse your library in file mode, or (better) scan it in to XBMC's library.
iPhoto is a different story - it stores the pictures in a non-standard way. There is a plugin available for it though. There's a thread on the forums here about the plugins and where to get them. I'm not 100% sure if all features of 09 are working with the plugin. The other option is to export you pictures from iphoto, then just browse the filesystem.

Plugins for iPhoto and iTunes are in the beta1 dmg... but they are not installed due to a bug (installation will work in the next release).
To use them now, you can manually copy the content of /Applications/XBMC.app/Contents/Resources/XBMC/extras/user/plugins directory to Library/Application\ Support/XBMC/plugins (in your home directory).
