The database disk image is malformed

I've nuked and reinstalled xbmc multiple times now, with the latest babylon t3ch build, the previous babylon t3ch build, etc.

No i haven't tried the stable image yet, the t3ch alpha build was running perfectly until this - and with far better performance. About the only thing i can think of is that i added more videos into the library directory- but we are only talking going from 20 to 30 videos total.


Xbox starts up, I hear the startup sound from xbmc and then nothing.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated - this is my step daughters "movie machine" that she uses for watching disney movies...and right now it's sorely missed.

See if you can boot from a boot disk, FTP in and wipe out XBMC/userdata/databases/*.db. There is also a key press to hold at boot time to clear out some things in userdata, but I'm not sure what all files or what the keys are :p (see the wiki). If neither of these things work enable debugging in advancedsettings.xml (wiki again) and post a full debug log to pastebin.com or similar.

if you're using component cables and it's not working, then try it with the regular RCA (red, white, yellow cable) or S-video and see if the video shows up. you can then select Auto resolution or enable HD and retry with the component cable.
if you're not using component, then disregard.

his solution:
Deleted the other three databases and it boots right up.

Love to know what happened. I guess I lost all my thumbs...:(
