I love photos (I'm a photographer myself) and I'm really glad to see some improvements in the pictures part of Aeon.

Woo Hoo DJH you're the man... And you really come up with some of the coolest backdrops ever, I don't know where you find them all.
I swear you just post these fantastic screens/concepts soley for the reason of boosting your ego. Keep up the good work. I think it looks great.
One question though, in the second screen, when scrolling through photos, does it auto resize the photo to fit the screen(minus the scroller) or does the photo scroller just appear on top of the photo?

Note that XBMC already supports all the exif info that's available via the Picture Information dialog. This precludes tags etc. unless they're in the EXIF info itself.
Plugins can set pretty much whatever they like, but it would be useful I think to standardize on a format for commonly used information at least.

djh_ this is amazing!! Have been waiting for a good picture slideshow view for a long time! Everybody is focusing on Movies/Music (i know, this is what people use the most) but Pictures is just not up to the same level of sophistication! This changes things!
Where DO you get your backdrops? Simply delightful!

My favorite part is the selection of pictures to go along with the title "Strip Show." Highly appropriate.

Just a quick comment, is it possible to set an option so that
the bottom image scroller autohides within 2sec so to show the whole picture ? as soon as you push left right the scroller comes up again...
Gonna download and test when i get the time, but from the screenshots it seems like an option to maybe include an even smaller minimalistic scroller in the bottom... but i gonna test first :)
Also as Jmarshall mentioned, exif info can be displayed today, maybe as an option in a bar in the top of the window ? (even customize from the skin what info that shows)

I know but autohide would be better. It's the picture wich in my mind is the main focus here, not the thumbs.. their just there as a helper when navigating.
It does autohide. Twice: first to info, then to fullscreen. Of course, actually selecting the picture in question does the same thing.
Is it just me or does selecting a picture stop the music playing? Did this always happen? Would love to be able to look through my pictures whilst playing some music..

Can we get the info up when running the slideshow?
Also this is a better way to browse a folder of images but can we do something to get the browse of image folders (so if I have a folder "2009" with subfolders "01 Jan -> 12 Dec") so that it would be easier to find the right subfolder? I really hate the 4 picture merge that xbmc creates as a thumb for a folder. And one picture to illustrate a whole folder is not enough - maybe a show a stack of images when hovering the folder?

This is actually how the view worked originally - with a slideshow of images from the hovered folder. There was a problem with it, though, so it was taken out. I'll have another look and see if it's possible.
