View Full Version : Library for Movies and TV shows
I don't seem to be able to get all of my movies and TV shows to show up under those headings. Only a few make it over, about 2%. They do show up under video though. I am unable to find on the forums what I need to do to get it to show up. I try to populate it in the video section, but I am doing something wrong. The shows that do show up don't have all the episodes either, I am sure that is all part of whatever I am screwwing up.
Also I have several computers I would like to use as media servers off of this center hub. I can see all the movies, but not the info on them or the TV shows. I use MIP to get the info and was wondering what I am doing wrong there.
If anyone can give me some help or point me to where I can find this info, it would be much appreciated.

It is, but i'm sure it will be moved, and since i practically live in the Aeon forum, here is my little bit.

With that said, library mode can be your best friend and you can get very angry at it. I would grab a few of your movies and/or a few tv shows and mess around with those, it's just easier to solve problems when you have a smaller sample size.
I know you said you used MIP, and while it is a wonderful program, for someone new to xbmc and Library mode, i'd advise against it for learning. It can definitely speed up the process later.
XBMC Library mode works like a database, it keeps track of a picture, information, and shortcuts to your files.
The scrappers are used to find this information automatically based on your content. If you use MIP, the information has already been scraped (if done correctly) and placed next to your movies and TV shows.
I know this information is all pretty generic, but maybe if you post one of your directory structures, (a certain movie for example), it's really tough to solve your problem with the info you've provided.

yeah, I figured it was, but I only have the first problem with the movies and tvshows tab in Aeon, so thats why I posted here, the rest of it is with any skin though.
