Vieleicht kann mir jemand helfen. kann man im Hauptmenü Disc Abspielen ausschalten?. und wozu hat man einmal video und einmal filme als katergorie. Danke

I managed to work out the thank you bit as for the rest not a clue

You can disable all the categories you see in the home screen over Settings -> Customize.
The "Videos" category is the file view where you tell XBMC where to find your movies. The "Movies" category is the library view where XBMC shows your files with additional information.

in "Video" stellst du deine Filme und Serien ein!
in "Filme" schaust du dir dann nur die Filme an!
Videos kannst du eigentlich auch im menü deaktivieren, und dann in movies über "pfeil hoch" -> "files" starten...
hast du ne Ahnung, warum es nicht den Button "hinzufügen" nicht mehr gibt?
sprich wenn er über die Datenbank nichts gefunden hat, kann man den Film selber hinzufügen!?
wie meinst das? wenn der film in der file ansicht ist, aber nicht in den library mode übernommen wird?, meist reicht es wenn dann im file mode einma 'i' drücke, um die infos einzuholen und dann is der film auch in der library...
oder hab ich dich falsch verstanden? :P
