I guess I'm not searching for the right topics so if there's one that covers this please redirect me.
I'm having trouble getting thumbs to work on my new XP install but they work great on the xbox in the other room... it's an OLD tech build that's been good enough so I just never updated it
both are set to get their thumbs from imdb
both are hitting shares on a media server using samba
the xbox has a manually configured sources.xml file
on the win xbmc box I added the sources via the windows network browser
also, in windows I can browse the shares on the server and write files to the shares where the movies live
I think the issue might be that I have .iso rips in a couple of big directories
IE)
//filestore/rips1
//filestore/rips2
etc...
It seems like everything I'm reading suggests I need the files in subdirectories so the scrapers can scrape by folder name and I can find or write a script to make it happen but it just seems like I'm missing something easy.
