Is this possible? I tried to set it manually but it doesn't work. The problem is that my PC boots up faster than the TV does. XBMC ends up starting at a lower resolution than 1080P when I turn everything on with my Harmony.
The fix is to restart XBMC once the picture is displayed which I assigned to a button.

It's just a slight annoyance but I'd thought I'd ask if it was possible.

Note: PC is connected via HDMI.

How about turning on the TV first then your pc ?

It's a rear projection that has a long power on delay. I did set the Harmony to turn on the TV first in the sequence but it's still not delayed enough.

This works most of the time -

Fixed my problem.

I forgot that you can add anything from the GUI to your advancedsettings.xml so all I had to do was drop the resolution ID in there and it always starts up as 1920x1080@60Hz.

<videoscreen>
<resolution>54</resolution>
</videoscreen>

I've never used advancedsettings.xml. I'll give it a try later tonight.
How did you find the resolution ID?

HTPCs should be left on all the time. Why don't you just put it in standby instead of turning it off?

I do put it in standby. I shutdown XBMC when the HTPC goes to standby and start it back up again when the system resumes using Eventghost.
