Is there any way to stop the behaviour of jumping forward when scanning through video files?

I have a fairly large movie library and I've setup to jumpsms style with numbers but when at the letter if I start scanning through for the movie I want it'll go fine 1by1 for a few seconds then all of a sudden start jumping way down the list.

This occurs in both file and library mode and seems to be the same on the xbox version so don't think it is my remote at fault.

This is the only real irritation I have in XBMC at the moment and would really like to find a way so it always goes through movies one at a time.

I presume you're talking about navigating within a list, but have no idea what you're problem is. Perhaps you could elaborate?

I think he means the speed increase when you keep hold of the direction button.

yeah what hitcher says, it's kinda hard to describe but if your in a list of files and hold a direction button it'll start off scanning the movies along one at a time then after a few seconds get faster and afaster so it seems like it's jumping and you can end up skipping loads of screens of movies and can't cointrol where you stop.

This is by design. The letters that pop up in most skins are there to stop you at the appropriate place.

If you could suggest as to how it could be refined then we'll see if it can't be improved a bit.
