Have a ?... I just installed XBMC on my Vista 32 bit OS after having it on XBox for years. I tried the new alpha 1 and also 8.10. Whenever I try to play a movie it (the movie) freezes about 20 seconds in. These are the same movies that worked fine with the Xbox. Any clue what is wrong?

Vista Home Premium 32 bit
2 Ghz dual core cpu
4 Gigs RAM
Radeon HD 4670 graphics card

running to my 42 inch plasma via HDMI

any help is greatly appreciated!

It's most likely in Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\xbmc.log

If not there then \program files\xbmc\

Are you running XBMC with the -p switch? Also what version are you running currently?

Look at your shortcut that is opening XBMC. I ask about what version you are currently running because after time the -p switch has a different meaning.

I dont see how a search does not find the log.

Enable "Show hidden files" or you won't find it.
