View Full Version : Disable auto NFO read for specific user?
First, I'm using Media Companion for creating NFO, Fanart and poster for movies.
Now for the problem...
I would like for one user1 in XBMC to read this NFO files,
but user2 to use The "Sratim" scraper inside XBMC to download the info in Hebrew.
Is this possible, How can I make it happen?
This is just a thought....
How about scraping user2 before creating the nfos from MC. Then create nfos in MC and scrape user1.
Adding new movies would be a problem though...
Not possible with .nfo files near your files. Without those you will have to create a new profile using its own database but same sources.
Is something like this going to be in future version of XBMC?
Or maybe option to use one scraper and if he got not result for a movie XBMC will try second scraper?
One _possible_ addition would be to add (just another) scraper option to override .nfo files. IMO it's not worth the hassle as it is a very uncommon scenario. If you think it's really needed, file a new feature request (future/pending) on our tracker for it please.
Scraper chaining will be part of the 9.10 and its already possible for .nfo based lookups.
The problem is really that NFO are not multi-user capable. This is essentially a variation on a theme of a couple of other threads suffering from this.
Once you go the XML-NFO route with apps like Media Companion etc for at least the short term future you have a single user system.
