I'm stuck and would appreciate any help I can get here. I can't get XBMC running on Jaunty - it had worked previously in Intrepid.
The details are below -

Ubuntu Jaunty, 2.6.28-11 Kernel, Compiz disabled
Pentium M 2.00 GHZ proc, 1.5 GB RAM, ATI Radeon Mobility X600
XBMC - compiled from SVN rev. 19296
Debug Log here (http://pastebin.com/m2279482a)

Running xbmc from a terminal produces the following errors
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 1 (X_CreateWindow)
Serial number of failed request: 28
Current serial number in output stream: 29

I tried setting vsync to false in guisettings.xml and that doesn't fix it.

Hi,

I have already opened a thread concerning this issue. I guess this problem is caused by the open-source ati-drivers. With Jaunty you have to use them unless you have ati-gfx-card newer than HD2xxx. There is no solution yet and the problem seems not to be taken seriously. I hope there is a nice dev, who can fix this problem.

Sorry I must've missed your thread. This isn't a huge deal for me since I'm just trying to get this to work on my laptop....I only use XBMC on it to test out skin modifications I make before I move them over to my HTPC. I really hate ATI now, had nothing but problems with them.
