Hi, I recently build myself a HTPC and installed it with XP Pro + XBMC v19082.
Now my folder thumbnails are not showing.

I ran MediaInfoPlus and made a library like I should on another PC and tested with the same XBMC release and it worked. But it wont work on my HTPC with the exact same settings and library.

Here's hows a folder look:
C:\Filmer\Role Models
fanart.jpg
folder.jpg
movie.nfo
movie.tbn
Role Models.nfo
Role Models.tbn
Role Models-fanart.jpg
s-rolemodels.mkv

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
The only difference afaik is the resolution (1600x1050 on PC which works, and 1920x1080 on HTPC does not work)

Thanks in advance.

No one? :(

I'm getting quite frustrated here, Ive tried all settings, 3 different versions of XBMC, rescanning my library with MIP.. nothing seem to work.

I'm guessing its just some easy tweak I need to do, but I can't think of what.
Thinking of going Ubuntu if the problem consits,

I tried that on the same HTPC and folders worked but Audio over HDMI didn't.

I am having the exact same problem. MIP scanned, XP, 1080p, etc. I have tried in both Aeon Stark and PMIII, but neither will display folder thumbs. Everything else such as movie information seems to work fine. Any help would be appreciated.

hmm, the only thing you could try would be to try naming a file <movie filename>.jpg

in this case:

s-rolemodels.mkv
s-rolemodels.jpg

what skin are you using?
and what revision of xbmc and skin - this info is extremely helpful to other members trying to trouble shoot your problem.

Looks like it is working fine on 8.10 for OSX, but I'm hitting the issue in 9.04 on XP. Is there a different way it scans?

OSX handled everything correctly (and all of the content is from a network share), so I exported the library from 8.10 OSX and imported it in to 9.04 XP. The library looks identical to the one 9.04 generates on its own. It looks like there is something wrong.

I would assume this could be an issue between 8.10 / 9.04 and not XP and OSX.
Grab a recent svn copy (>19600) and try again. If it won't work post a logfile via pastebin.

I grabbed the XBMC Updater last night (awesome little tool), grabbed the newest build, and that fixed the problem. Guess I just got a bad one.
