I just found out that XBMC supports several files format to allow us to skip parts of a video file. Apparently EDL, ComSkip, VideoRedo, and SnapStream are all supported according to the wiki. I'm looking for something that is accurate to the actual frame. EDL looks like it's only time based, so that's out, ComSkip apparently does cutting based on frames, and VideoRedo and SnapStream I have no idea about. So I was wondering if someone could enlighten me about those formats.
Also, if I stick with ComSkip, I plan on creating the files manually since they are just txt files. However, I'm having a very hard time locating format information about how these files are made up. If anyone could post a sample ComSkip txt file and/or information about the actual format for these files that would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Harry
