I did find those 3 images you refer to but the 2 darren star ones aren't really usable and the overbrook one would take more than my (rather basic) photoshop skills to convert it into a simple white logo :sniffle:

Okay, I made two flags, IDK how great they are, but it's my quick attempt at something reasonable. They are uploaded to the site.
The xml could also be changed to use listitem.filename instead of the usual tag. This would require some way of knowing when the filename image is being displayed as opposed to the skin string image.
Okay, maybe it would just be simpler to edit the .nfo files. ;)

Anybody feel like doing one for Halcyon? It's the company behind Terminator: Salvation. If not...well, that will get made with the R5 logo tomorrowish.

the flags work fine on multiplex2 you just have to add back in your studio data into the new includes_mediaflags.xml as the flags had to be repositiond on screen that's why they won't show. but they will still show in showcase and list view as they aint changed.:p
I'll do an update tomorrow. My internet is really slow at the moment, so I haven't been able to download the lastest version yet.
TV flags, we will have to wait for though.

Also everyone don't overlook that Duncan changed the control id number (<control type="image" id="91">) for all the flags that work in MultiPlex view. I don't know if not changing the ID accordingly in the new Includes will effect the showing of flags though.

You're right, I just thought someone uploaded the old version of the logo in favor of the new one because it was in the mediaflags folder I downloaded. The one I made was from a hires European version of the logo, and I mimicked the bug they used to have on the Dutch channel. IMHO, it looks really nice :p

There's some work going on in another thread discussing 'rationalising' the way artwork / thumbs / logos / flags etc are named... to have a more rigid, but far more powerful scheme for filenames.
It is still only a proposal right now, but input (particularly on the flagging) would be great.

I have been working on my music section lately and have been using the pack that Ronie made for music labels. Just trying to fill in any gaps that he missed and I am writing substrings for all the albums that come with two labels on allmusic. Since you can't name files with a /. Thanks for helping out with these. I really appreciate it.

I had one movie label with a slash and just created a folder with the part before the slash and a file in it with the part after the slash. Works great!

It very much depends on the way the skin displays the flags and specifies their filename. The best thing is usually to name the file exactly like the studio including casing and spaces. At the moment there is no naming convention for studio logo files.
I had one movie label with a slash and just created a folder with the part before the slash and a file in it with the part after the slash. Works great!
This worked great. It covers most instances. A few rare cases there is an icon for the first label and not the second one, but I am making a list as I go through my music collection. I have been adding nfo's to each album and artist to ensure proper scraping.

Hey y'all, I see people are still updating my script, GREAT! I am back for a while, had some issues to tend to. But I'll be updating anything that needs to be, i'm WAY out of it, aka i just saw media flagging got officially added for resolution/audio etc.

Skin Authors: It appears that there are no sources *yet* for scraping info, and I did notice that there are talks on getting a standardized protocol for things like studio flags *prays hard*. But until those get done, I am willing to write some more snippits of code now that I have the ability to allow downloads based on your specific skin. Either post here, or send me a PM, I do have some people already waiting, and it will take a few days to a week to get this done per skin, as a bit of custom code is needed for my web interface.

I used photoshop :;):
Opened the png then duplicated the layer and deleted the original
Set canvas size to 161 width 109 Height
Use magic wand to select all the black background then hit cut or clear
That's it simple :grin:
Extra step I might take after canvas resize is create a layer below and fill it with the same colour as the background then merge the layers then use magic wand, that way you get all the background at once without leaving bits behind

I'm not sure what you have been doing in your include_mediaflags.xml where studio names are concerned as there's never been any reason to change or edit anything in include_mediaflags.xml for studio names, studio names don't even go in the include_mediaflags.xml

i imagine those days where the only way to display flags was to hack the studio fields. and i remember it was a pain to get new studios added and one needed to add them to the xml. might have been another xml then.
anyway: good to read those times have been gone.

I found this icon for dvd rips, but when I place it in Aeon the size is off and looks a little blurred. If anyone out there can clean it up and get it too look right as an Aeon flag I think I would be a great source addition. Much thanks to anyone who can help!

This one is never going to look good at these sizes because you have to allow for spacing between the flags so they don't touch but I gave it a bash

The best trick is to get .eps files from www.brandsoftheworld.com or www.vector-logos.com. EPS are vector files, which means you can blow them up to any size w/o quality loss. I'll make a more in-depth guide later, but the gist of it is to open EPS with photoshop (at 500px width or larger), desaturate, remove the background (magic wand), adjust contrast/brightness if needed, and scale.

That depends...has anybody else been uploading anything to fernferret's site? It's still active, and has a prog. to generate the proper script to go along with the files. At least, it was relevant a month or so ago, unless Aeon has again been changed...in which case I could make an updated script...

How come people keep making requests when download link on rapidshare is dead?
Because any given skin should have a collection 5 times as big and if people make requests we can all just keep adding them to the skins. Or we could just give up because the rapid share link is dead.......

Just download any Aeon mod, transparency, mediastream, rapier and there will be a folder media>flags>studios (typically)
It will have all you are looking for.
I found a few more as I move through my collection. I am really hoping someone can step in and help out. Thanks to anyone who can assist!

Find the logo (preferably in some vector format)
Open the logo file with Gimp, PS or any other decent program
Resize the logo so that it doesn't exceed 82x125 pixels (it could be 82 pixels high and 20 pixels wide or 80 pixels high and 120 wide, doesn't actually matter as long as the dimensions do not exceed 82x125)
Paste the resized file onto a clean, transparent file 109x161 (height x width); you could use any of the existing files, Ctrl+A, Delete the contents and paste a new logo.
Save, upload to FF's site and voila
