Microsoft IR Remote - Work with XMBC?

Hey all,

Just curious if my Microsoft Model:1039 IR remote will work with XBMC Live?

If it can, how can I get it to work? Step by step :)

Sorry to sound a numpty but I have no idea when it comes to linux based OS and not sure how to install the drivers etc... :<

Also just to add to this, the resolution in the settings is wrong and I can't change it as I can't see the drop down menu to change the resolution. Anyway to change it?

Currently don't have a keyboard but I'm assuming I would need one to change it?

The remote is plug and play. Plug the USB cord for the IR receiver into the PC and fire up xbmc live. Thats all I had to do. Not sure about your res question, when I go to the video settings/appearance there are up and down arrows next to the resolution setting and I can change the current res. Do you not see these?

Yer funny enough after reading this post it work :eek:

With the res question I had to use a keyboard to change it as I couldn't select the drop down box with the mouse.
