View Full Version : Cast and Trailer don't work?

Hey,
i just had a verry brief look at Aeon Stark... LOVE IT!!!! :)
I'm here at my gilrfriends Laptop and she doesn't have films on here (can't wait to test it with my HTPC in some days :) ), so i just created some textfiles and renamed them to .avis with movie names just to make the scrapper download some stuff.
When in the movie info screen, you normaly could see the whole cast from a movie and select an actor, to see other movies you have with him. I couldn't see an option in the new stark skin. Am i just blind or is there no such option any more? If not... this would be a feature request by me :)
The other thing i realised was that when i hit "Trailer" (i scrapped with the TMDb scrapper) it would't play. It just got back to the overview of all the movies. Is this a problem of stark?

For the actor list and browsing: This is not available in the current release but someone already posted a feature request.

For the trailer: What did you name your trailer? I e.g. use 300-trailer.mov (the movie being named 300.mkv) and it works like a charm for me.

Oh, i don't have a real trailer... i thought it would stream it from the internet?!?

Hm I don't know about the internet streaming.
Maybe you need to make some settings I don't have a clue about.
I just downloaded some trailers (1080p of course which you most likely wouldn't get streamed) to test it.

its been SOOO long since i had trailer streaming working (like a year ago i think)

If the -trailer extention works it woul be cooler anyway :) i also prefer HD stuff... so streaming isn't the best way anyway :)

It should stream from the internet if the scrapper found a trailer for your movie .. It stoped working a while back and now you can't select it no more ..

Trailers streamed from the internet are working fine for me.

Make sure the path is stored in your database with a http:// preceding it. I remember there was an issue awhile back where some revisions of XBMC wouldn't scrape the http with it and that caused problems with them playing... that of course isn't an Aeon issue.

yeah .. i was aware of the not scraping properly .. i also heard it had been fixed but i'm using a fairly recent build of xbmc (build date from earlier this month) and still no luck with the streaming trailers :(

i also heard that it might not work for people outside the US .. (currently i'm in eu)
