requests for your site which is quite allot. We will have to ask
you take measures to lower the load or we may be forced to temporarily
suspend your website.
Quite what measures they're expecting I have no idea.

Maybe a good idea to link these to the download thread.
It's not downloads that are the problem, sadly, just hits. Nothing I can do about that.

It does, but I'd imagine most people are downloading from the links in this forum. I can't really stop anyone else visiting the site.

You could temporarily setup a splash screen with just one picture and a link to the forum download thread... which is probably the main reason so many are visiting the site right now. That way there's not multiple hits from all the different images loading on the current homepage.

Or just a text link to the forum stating that your bandwidth is getting out of control.
find a better host :) maybe donations can pay for it
