I am new to XBMC, so I don't understand why one can browse a source with ripped bluray files and play the mt2s file with the movie, but cannot get the movie recognized a metadata defined by the scrapper.

I have the bluray ripped into a folder using the same naming conventions for video_ts, and since it appeared to be finding movie based on folder name, I am not sure why it behaves differently with bluray fiies

What would happen if I took the mt2s file that represented the movie and named it adopting the format used for .avi files, woul dthe scrapper work then?

Thanks

I don't know the full answer to this question. My understanding is that XBMC cannot currently handle an entire bluray disc, but only the m2ts files within the disc. Thus, renameing stream001.m2ts to Batman Begins.m2ts or Batman Begins D1.m2ts should resolve the issue.

Yes, the apporach worked .. took the mt2s file that represents the movie, named it according to guidelines .. was successfully scraped and integrated into the library.

Thanks
