Context menu - link to TV Show

In the Movie Libary (mediastream skin) when going into the context menu there's an option "link to tv show"

maybe a stupid question but what does it do? From my experience not much but just curious what its for

I think the film will also appear in your TV Shows.

I assume it's so you could link say 'Serenity' the movie to 'Firefly' the TV series.
