I'm using Jester's build rev. 18257 and noticed that I don't have center sound on 5.1 media content??
Only background music is playing and there is no sound from actors. As it will put my line out for rear left and right speakers.
I'm running that on laptop, so there is only one line out and setting on sound card are normal.
On original 8.10 build there is no problem with sound on hd media!

Do you have XBMC setup to output digital for movies?

No.
Analog output and default sound card!
And how exactly are you expecting the center channel to get from the laptop to your receiver? The reason there is no problem on 8.10 is that it is probably down-mixing the 5.1 to stereo. What interconnect type are you using between the pc and your stereo (i.e. optical, coax digital, rca, hdmi)?
I had experienced same problem. But recent (maybe from 18346?) SVN fixed this problem. Please update your xbmc to more recent build. Check this ticket http://xbmc.org/trac/ticket/5990

Thanks @epoke. This is the exact problem I have.
Fixed in SVN: r18346
The 'audiooutput.downmixmultichannel' setting has been activated on Windows build and must be set to 'true' for multichannel sources to be mixed-down to stereo. AC3/DTS passthrough must also be disabled in Audio Hardware Settings for this to work properly.
So I have to wait for @Jester to put a new version of XBMC on his site ;)
