Hello there,

This is probably a very silly question but I have been searching for an answer to that one for 2 hours now in the online doc and forums without any luck.
So here goes:
1- How can I add visualizations? The installer comes with a few (opengl_spectrum, ProjectM, ...) but no trace of milkdrop or fountain that were mentioned somewhere. I tried to dowload the fountain.vos and milkdrop.vis files from the online svn repo and put then in the visualisations folder but it just does not work.
2- How can I switch visualisation and presets within XBMC. When I play a song and go back to the home menu all I can do is toggle visualisation on and off using the X key and selecting Toggle visualisation. I read stuff about an OSD but can't for the life of me find how to trigger it.

Any help very appreciated. It is killing me :)

1. Project_M is Milkdrop.
2. Open the menu when playing a song and the vis is running. there are controls for changing preset and vis.

Thanks for your answer but:

* Question 1 is still open. Or am I wrong? I can see vis files in the repo (notably fountain) and dunno how to install them.
* I am ashamed to say that but what do you mean by open the menu. When I am on the homepage I can see the visualisation and the music cover art stating Now playing but I don't see any menu that would allow me to change the vis or the preset. That must be something obvious but I am stuck. Remember I am on Windows.

Thanks again for your time.

If they're not already in XBMC then they're meant for the Xbox version.

Right the vizs you mentioned not seeing are directx not opegl like we currently use. ProjectM is a "port" of MilkDrop to opengl, hence the .milks in svn.

Open the OSD by hitting "m" in the fullscreen viz window ("tab" with music playing). Then you should see the icons as per the wiki.

Thanks to everybody!
I just now have to make it stick to a given preset and not go to the next one and I'll be content
Thanks again!

disable shuffle via the gui options. make sure you have a recent svn build since gui settings was added recently (win port) and isn't working in 8.10 atlantis.

Thanks for the information Wiso but it does not seem to work in my current build (rev 18561). When I disable shuffle mode in the settings it still shuffles ;)
I will try the latest build to see if the behaviour is the same.
Thanks again.

Disabling shuffle does not work on rev 18627.
