proper syntax for local fanart and tbn files in tv library

i'm getting sick and tired of having to redo my posters for my tv shows everytime i rescan my library from scratch .. so i was hoping to store my posters (and maybe even fanart) locally like i do for my movies these days

only thing is i can't figure out the proper structure for this .. i've searched the forum and the wiki and haven't been able to find info about this .. how to do it for movies is all over the place .. but not for tv

here is my structure (which i thought would work but didn't)

TV
-Arrested.Development
--Arrested.Development.tbn <-- Series Poster
--Arrested.Development.S01
---Arrested.Development.S01.tbn <-- S01 Poster
---arrested.development.s01e01.avi
---arrested.development.s01e02.avi
---etc
--Arrested.Development.S02
---Arrested.Development.S02.tbn <-- S02 Poster
---arrested.development.s02e01.avi
---arrested.development.s02e02.avi
---etc

Make a structure like this:
TV/Arrested.Development/
-fanart.jpg
-tvshow.nfo
-folder.jpg
-season01.tbn
-season02.tbn
-etc.

TV/Arrested.Development/season01
-arrested.development.s01e01.avi
-arrested.development.s01e02.avi
-etc.
-arrested.development.s01e01.tbn
-arrested.development.s01e02.tbn
-etc.
-arrested.development.s01e01.nfo
-arrested.development.s01e02.nfo
-etc.

Media companion, MIP and XBMC can handel this folder structure very well.

okay .. so the season poster thumbs should be in the root of the actual show ? named season01.tbn, season02.tbn ??

The only thing you have to do is make this file structure:
TV/Arrested.Development/season01
And put all season 1 .avi's in there and call them
arrested.development.s01e01.avi etc.

Now let Media Companion or Movie info plus scrape your TV folder and you will get a structure like I posted with all info, thumbs and fanart files present.

when i set up my dir like yours .. and tried to scrape it the only things that got assigned properly was fanart.jpg and folder.jpg

all the season* tbn files (season00.tbn, season01.tbn, ext) got pulled from the web and assigned randomly .. not with what i had in the dir

basically i tried that and it didn't work for some reason for me .. using SVN 18298 for OSX

the fanart.jpg and folder.jpg got used from local copies .. but all the 3 season posters instead of using the local tbn files xbmc pulled them from thetvdb.com (i know this because the ones that the library is showing are different then the ones i downloaded and saved as tbn files)
