can't get metadata from local folder

I'm trying to mod the wonderful mediastream skin, right now I'm doing variants of the showcase and mediapreview-views...

When I run the Apple Movie Trailer -script everything works fine, and I get all the nice metadata like genre, cast, director etc.

However, when I add a local source, and try to populate it with imdb-info, I can't print out the metadata contents with the ListItem-variable anymore...

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong :/.
I get the correct cover art, and also the fan art. I can also view the metadata if I press (I) and bring up the info menu, but it won't display in my view.
Again, it works perfectly with the apple movie trailers plugin.

Any idea what's going on?

your in file mode and file mode doesn't support getting meta data from the library (or it would be library mode) :)

But when I switch to library mode, i get a menu with icons like "title", "genre" etc, but then nothing is shown. librarymode won't show my movies :/
How do I "add" movies to my movies collection?
