GUI always changing to Windowed

Morning!

I dont have all the info with me, so this is just a general question. I have noticed since one of the SVN installs i did about 2-3 weeks ago, everytime i switch back to the GUI from a video (either the video ends, or i press Tab) the GUI reverts from full screen back to windowed.

So i start XBMC..its windowed...no biggie. I hit \ to go fullscreen, still good. I play a video, it plays full screen....still good. I switch back to the GUI using Tab....GUI is now windowed. Switch back to currently playing video...video is full screen. Videos playing one after another in the list....still full screen. Switching back to windowed GUI and selecting a video, video will play full screen.

Am i missing a new setting? I couldnt seem to see it in the settings. Im 75% sure that the Resolution setting is set to auto...

Anyone else having this issue?

well, yes it's a known "issue".

you need to set your xbmc to run in fullscreen. if not, we switch back to the ui res after video playback and that is a windowed resolution.. see the appearance settings.

this happened to me alot until i turned off the desktop effect in ubuntu. solved all my problems.

This "fixed" mine as well many moons ago! Dorked up VNC so it no longer refreshes when in XBMC but oh well! Might be ultraVNC doing that <shrug> Desktop effects is certainly an issue with this though.
