Hi all,
Today I downloaded the XBMC LiveCD to give it a try. I get the kernel loading and it asks me which method of install/run I want to use. I choose 2 (ATI graphics). Once it starts to load the screen turns black and there is a slow flashing of the screen from dark black to light black, repeating this sequence for some time.
I finally hit ctl-alt-del and the loader is visible, stopping about two bars from complete before the system restarts and I can do the whole thing over again. How long should I wait before it's readily obvious the graphical environment won't load, or is this an indication it's never going to sucessfully load?
System:
Intel Celeron 2.5ghz
1.5gb PC2700 memory
ATI Radeon X1600 AGP (512mb memory)
