How do you make XBMC on appleTV see the local media on the appleTV

I have an appleTV with XBMC installed.

Using XBMC, I am able to find media that is located on my server. However, I also have about 30 gigs of music that has been synched onto my apple tv using itunes. Is there a away to make the media that is local on my appletv visible in XBMC? when I browse the appletv file structure, all the directories are empty.

In terminal, I have:

ssh frontrow@appletv.local
ls -s

all the directories show that they are zero in size. Where is my iTunes synched media stored?

they are in /mnt/Media/Media Files/
