Hi.

Im running the latest xbmc on windows xp sp 3. When i try to set content and run the scan nothing happens.

I check:
*scan recursively
*use folder names for lookups
*run automated scan.
with imdb as the data base.

When i press ok it doesn't scan (not even trying) and when i click set content again it's blank. I'm also running it on xbox and there it works prefect so its not my files that are badly organised.

i also noticed that half of the network settings are gone. I cant see ip-address, netmask, gateway or dns server. Why is that?

Im running avast antivirus and windows firewall if thats relevant

Any ideas??

No idea what you mean by "latest version". Where did you download the build?

Perhaps you are missing those 2 files which are not included with xbmc that it needs for scraping and other things....

ERROR: unable to open database:C:\Documents and Settings\Viktor Sjöström\Application Data\XBMC\userdata\Database\MyVideos34.db

If i had to guess it's either that it can't access that folder to create the database, or there's a blank file MyVideos34.db that is in use by something.

I would grab a newer build of xbmc, jesters build, and try that.. if that files try it from a command prompt with the -p option (portable).

Hello.

I'm having the exact same problem here, it doesnt even start scraping for information. No matter if it's movies or tv shows. And when I go back to set content again, the content there's blank. Like I've never touched anything there.

I'm using 8.10 "atlantis".

Thanks

And did you do what was suggested above?

Yes I have now got the scraping working with Jesters build.

Thank you very much!
