I used Mplayer up till now for playing my large Divx library of movies that I recorded and archived in divx (or xvid) format in the past . No fancy HD just plain old SD
Mplayer plays all my movies with absolutely no problems at all.
Just switched to the excellent xbmc because of the automatic imdb info that can be added. It makes the whole experience a lot more interesting.
The biggest problem. Video playback is somewhat jerky and not that smooth as with Mplayer. I know my Eeepc has the bare minimum specs but It worked with Mplayer so I was hoping i can get the same results in xbmc.
I downloaded the latest version
I use the standard skin
I fiddled with the cache settings, I fiddled with the video settings etc...
I used keypress "O" and noticed that cpu is never 100%. But video remains somewhat choppy.
Does anyone have the magic TIP ?
