Hi I am a newbie to all of this so I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I purchased a Apple TV with the hack already in it. XBMC would not recognize my router, and will no longer even launch. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem as a last ditch attempt before returning for a refund from the seller.:sad:

let's see, no versions, no info as to what and how you installed. Not much help without this info.

factory restore your atv and try again. Make sure you use the latest atvusb-creator/atv-win which installs Launcher 0.8, then immediately update the Launcher to 2.3 or 0.9.
