Until now I only thought that linksbox was the only working xbmc web browser. I saw this video on youtube. Note: that there is no footage of him actually browsing, the web, but its still the first time I have ever seen this plugin. There isn't any audio and no link to the plugin. Has anyone ever heard of this? and does it work?

It wasn't a plugin or script. Someone tried to merge the linxbox browser with xbmc back in the day on Xbox. It didn't work and the effort was abandoned. I wouldn't hold my breath for anything like this being implemented in the future. Just use the launcher script to open firefox or whatever you browser of choice is.
EDIT: Sorry didn't actually watch the video since you mentioned linxbox... I have no damn clue what that video is of, doesn't look too useful though.
Hi guys,
It is actually a program plugin made by cinpou currently at the early stage of development.
Here is the thread about it (sorry it is in French but you can post someone will answer in English)

His idea is to have a plugin managing bookmarks, creating thumb of the webiste (an external webiste does the thumb if I remember) and starting an external browser directly at the URL of the bookmark.
The current version released today only work on windows, but cinpou is working to make it run on Linux too.
No link with the linxbox unfortunately or the launcher (even if there are a lot similarities).
Funny this video landed here, small world! :)

Hi!
I've created the plugin WebBrowser, which is not really finished yet (normally tomorrow )
The plugin is actually in french (it's my firs one, i don't really no how to create a multilanguage plugin), but i can translate it in english.
I will post the english release in this forum if it interests someone.
Actually, it can add a Url, creates the thumb, and launchs it in firefox.
For Linux user like me, it needs 2 or 3 modifications to work (problem of path)
It will work tomorrow.
You can download it there:

Enjoy!
P.S.: Use "full fullscreen" firefox plugin to open it in fullscreen
