Picasa in addons svn.
authentication does not work on windows (for me) so in plugin settings, make sure you don't have access level set to need authentication.
this now works for me on xbox, osx and windows
this probably won't work on xbox as it uses special:// paths.
xbox now supports special:// paths
i highly suggest media stream skin with the one view (forget what it's called) where the full image displays. this will first show the low rez thumb, then the full rez image will fade in. a very nice view.

Hi Nuka,
Really like the idea of this plugin but can't get it to work (windows atlantis 8.10)
I've set up the login details and have a public folder on my web album and set authentication to public but when i click on the plugin (via photo plugins under photos) nothing happens...
am i doing something wrong??

a debug log would probably show your xbmc builod is too old for the special:// paths

I don't have a repo installer ...
Any idea or anyone working on getting the authentication to work on windows?
there is no reason it wouldnt work on xbox. xbox uses special paths as well (obviously requires a new build)

at the time of release special:// paths had not been merged.
authentication does work on all platforms.

Screenshots or a description of what exactly it does / is?
Thanks!

authentication does work on all platforms.Hmmm...I could not get anything to show up once in the plugin with authentication on.
I'll try again.
AWESOME. It is working now!
I updated to 1.3.4 the other day and now authentication no longer works for me, so nothing is retrieved from my private picasa galleries.
Here is a snippet from the log.

I was originally tried GoogleReader plugin where I have some authentication problem. BigBellyBilly suggested to try Picasa, as it also has the same authentication protocol.
I have the same problem as with GoogleReader. Authentication seems to fail.
I am using Linuxport.
debug log of trying Picasa:
http://pastebin.com/m4abffc0f
I just tried on an xbox and it worked fine. When I tried it on the xbox version, I put my email as just the part before "@gmail.com". My old settings on the windows build had the full email address. I changed it but it still is not working on the windows build. I am going to delete the plug and settings and try it again.
Still no go. Same errors in log as above.
EDIT:
Crisis over, updated win32 build to SVN 19607 and all is well.
Then it was a different bug on win32.
It's not running on linuxport...
I am back to having authentication problems again.
I am going to delete the plugin settings and reset it to see if that helps.
EDIT:
deleting the plugin settings and re-setting it worked.
Any plans to add support to access pictures in Favorites (unlisted albums of other users who sent invitations) or view movies stored in Picasa Web albums?
