I'm getting no results from IMDB running the latest SVN's.
I thought it would be resolved within a few versions, but somehow nobody is noticing it....

yes, it has been disabled (http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=43626).

I'm using atlantis 8.1 and while imdb scraper still works I get no fan art. Is this because ther is no support for this scarper?

probably because themoviedb (where fanart is scraped from) has changed in the meantime.

Is there any way of sorting this out by editing imdb scraper?

probably, if you study it very carefully. (or compare it to a working version).

Are you saying I will no longer be able to scan my media folders and have the movie cover picture show up in place of the default icon in my library?

XBMC will not be able to scrape from IMDB i believe the devs are trying to sort something but for now it will not work. even xbmc media companion can't access it. and that's what i use:no:

Someone, and I myself will heartily contribute to something like "WikiMovie" database. There's wiki for everything. If the entire "community" rises up in arms and agrees to provide information by typing it in. One movie a day say for a month?

Don't mean to sound silly. Just a thought.

Just tell me XBMC already looks there? And if so, why the fuss about IMDB?

See this thread about IMDB rules and conditions:

And I guess it wouldn't be kosher for you to tell us how and everyone will have to figure it out by themselves

If nobody objects I would be happy to tell you. Although when you compare old and new disabled file it is quite obvious what you need to delete (I had no problem and I my programming knowledge is almost non existant)

Here's an easy fix in this thread (http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45308).
