I added a file to my movies directory, used Media Companion to create a .nfo and poster image (just like all my other movies) but nothing I do will cause it to be added to the library. When I do an update library, it is never added. This is what shows up in the log file:

12:23:45 T:2851044240 M: 20455424 DEBUG: GetMovieId (/mnt/media/Movies/toaster.avi), query = select idMovie from movie where idFile=434
12:23:45 T:2851044240 M: 20455424 DEBUG: Found matching nfo file: /mnt/media/Movies/toaster.nfo

Yet it still doesn't show up. I also get this error:
12:21:50 T:2842651536 M: 18518016 INFO: Creating thumb from: /mnt/media/Movies/toaster.tbn as: special://masterprofile/Thumbnails/Video/8/8a2237a7.tbn
12:21:50 T:2842651536 M: 18518016 INFO: msg: PICTURE::CreateThumbnail: Unable to open image: /mnt/media/Movies/toaster.tbn Error:
12:21:50 T:2842651536 M: 18518016 ERROR: PICTURE::DoCreateThumbnail: Unable to create thumbfile special://masterprofile/Thumbnails/Video/8/8a2237a7.tbn from image /mnt/media/Movies/toaster.tbn
Yet the .tbn file is the same format as all the other poster images for my other movies in the same directory.

This error occurs with 8.10 as well as SVN pulled on 2/1.

Please only post full debug logs. And use a paste service such as pastebin.com.

It was a permissions problem. And pastebin makes the search feature here far less useful.

Search would be plenty useful if people would use descriptive thread titles and thoroughly describe their problems. We need the full log 'cause you can't possibly know what we need to look at, nor do we particularly want a huge log cluttering the thread.

In XBMC did you perform a "scan for new content" on got movie directory? Also, is this movie split into multiple files?

I got it taken care of. The XBMC user did not have read permissions for the .nfo.

That's a bit insulting. I usually have a pretty good idea what in the log is important and I generally search support forums using the error messages I am receiving. If everyone is posting the logs somewhere else, errors won't turn up any search results. Also the bounded CODE box prevents clutter, IMO. But whatever.
