I was wondering if anyone else uses this feature and noticed that when switching subtitles using the nextsubtitle Action ID, there is no message saying that the switch has taken place. The same goes for audionextlanguage, for switching to the next audio track.

I would expect this message just like any Standalone DVD Player when switching Subtitles or Audio Tracks, but it doesn't appear to be implimented in XBMC.

The Action IDs i'm talking about are here: http://xbmc.org/wiki/?title=Action_IDs

They're used in Keymap.xml to bind functions to keys and such.

Is it like this on all platforms? I'll have to try Windows tonight as Linux is the only one i've tries so far.

No feedback is available, yes.

Oh. :( Is it not available because there isn't a way to display a message when that event occurs?

Would it be worth submitting a feature request?

I believe there already is a trac ticket posted. Feel free to search through trac and add to the report if there's anything there that needs adding.

Otherwise, a patch would be most welcome.

Cheers,
Jonathan

You are indeed correct. Sorry for not looking there also. I searched just the forums, I thought for sure someone else had commented on it before. However, I have nothing to add to the ticket.
