Hi, Definitely a newbie, looking for an all in one HTPC. Especially one that can do Tivo type tasks. Vista MCE, Meedios are on the top of my list to stay in a windows OS, but was looking at XBMC which has an awesome interface, but can it record live tv, rewind, schedule programs??? Is there an easy way around this?

Also, what would u say the big diff is between vista MCE, Meedios and XBMC?

Kinda funny that you didnt even try searching at all? This same question was asked yesterday.

searched for PVR, TV recording turned up nothing useful

You can't even natively watch TV on XBMC, let alone record it.
