View Full Version : Isn't it time for a new final/beta?
I've noticed a lot of new users still installing Atlantis 8.10 and asking for support to issues long resolved in the newer SVN's. An interim release would definitely help new users get started. From my own experience, XBMC has improved immensely since the 8.10 release. I don't believe a new release needs to have new features. Stability alone is reason enough for me.
On big projects like this stable releases are not just arbritrary dates but based on a workflow/task list.
you can see the current scehdule here:
http://xbmc.org/trac/roadmap
Milestone: 9.04
Due in 3 months (04/29/2009)
35% Complete
Now I am not disagreeing with you, merely pointing out there is a plan

That would probably take weeks to put together. And they just made some pretty major changes to the SVN that need to be tested a lot more.
And interim release doesn't make sense right now.

Ohh thought it was march for some reason :( Damn getting old sucks.
Maybe 9.04 is an April Fools joke and it will actually be released in March after all!
