Hi newbie here. I've been using XBMC for a while now and its been great. Built a media PC just to have XBMC in the living room.
XBMC runs fine on my laptop but i've had some probs since i've installed it on the HTPC.

Loaded Jesters set-up revision 17537 as I was initially getting the missing mvcsr71.dll error which seemed to sort it.
Today it starts up but whenever I go to browse new source I get the XBMC has stopped working error? No further mvcsr.71 error only XBMC has stopped working.
Tried reloading, updating graphics driver. I'm lost:sad:

I'm running Vista 32 bit/SP1
Intel Dual core E8400 cpu
4gb ram
Mobo Asus p5e-vm hdmi with intel g35 graphics chipset, intel graphics accelerator X3500

Debug log http://pastebin.com/m1715357b Hope thats right:blush:

Any help would be appreciated:nod:

from looking at your log file, first try my latest build, then try a fresh install as there seems to be an issue with your database

Tried a few different builds kept failing then tried 8.10 again suddenly all fine!!???

Only thing I did different was to install in a different drive. Seems odd, hopefully it'll be fine from now. Fingers crossed:eek:

latest debug log http://pastebin.com/m6bf57ace

Just happened out of the blue seemed to be working fine Although I was unable to see the Series episodes in library mode in Fanart view? Anything to do with it? Or am I just being unlucky! Laptop version is working flawlessly!
Was browsing settings when it failed and now seems as though i'm back to square one!

Please help!

delete ALL directories and try the newest build. You mixed new with old (from the logfile) and this won't work.
Don't forget to delete the XBMC folder in the %APP_DATA directory.

Ok so I've deleted all directories but can't for the life of me find %APP_DATA directory anywhere? Sorry I'm not great at this as you can see! Used the search function in vista, looked in the registry? Can't find it? Tried RUN

Am I just being stupid?

%appdata is a short way of saying "your application data folder in your user Directory"

Eg.
if your user name is JohnDoe
you would find it in:
c:\users\JohnDoe\application data\
xbmc data will be found in the Roaming folder inside application data
