wierd, xbmc crashes EXACTLY every second time

help
i have this problem were everytime i startup my xbox and run xbmc it alawys freezes right at the main menu, and if i restart the xbox and run it again it always works like a charm. since i can still run the program this is not really urgent, but it sure is annoying.
i am currently using version 2004-06-25 but the problem has been there for as long as i can remember.
any ideas? any other info you'll need to help me?

edit:
searching a bit more makes me think this problem is evox related, since i do have a network cable inserted to access samba-shares and imdb
i'm looking into upgrading evox now, will this help?

i had the same problem and have had ever since i started using xbmp a year ago and the same with xbmc. like you the on the second try of starting it would work usually. sometimes it wouldn't work at all.

then about a week ago i decided i would upgrade evox to the latest version i could find. now xbmc starts 1st time every time. never stopped using xbmc ever since, didn't use it as much before used to get sick of getting up to restart the xbox.

added bonus of upgrading evox is a couple of my games i backed up that would never work, now work.

i have a softmodded xbox (reloaded i think?, long time since i did it)

so definetly try upgrading evox fixed my problem!!
