This seems strange, but in newer builds I've noticed that the fullscreen and windowed versions of XBMC seem to be keeping track of separate libraries/userdata folders. Libraries from one don't show up in the other and so on.
As a test, I did a clean install of XBMC, deleting the XBMC folder in program files (via the uninstall) and Application Data. In the fullscreen version, I scanned in a couple of episodes of Planet Earth into the video database. These database files showed up in the userdata folders in both Program Files and Application Data. I opened the windowed version, and scanned a smallish folder of audio into XBMC. The music database file showed up in the application data folder, but not in the program files userdata folder.
However, the video library contents show up only in the fullscreen version. Likewise, the audio components show up only in the windowed version.
I can provide a debug log or two if needed (can't at the moment otherwise it would be in this post)
P.S. Forgive me if this is confusing, poorly written, full of misspellings, and so forth. Its extremely late right now and I'm barely coherent.
